This mixer is a nice, compact, stand mixer with an excellent heavy duty motor. I've been able to make somewhat stiff bread dough (gluten-free) in it and have had no problems at all. The tilt to lift the beater from the bowl is a little inconvenient and not quite high enough but overall it is easily worked around once you get use to it. The connection to the base for the bowl is odd and I still have to remember how it works as it is specific and works only one way. All-in-all I definitely recommend this mixer to anyone who wants a heavy duty mixer but can't, or doesn't want to, afford a more expensive industrial mixer.
