I own the Viking stand mixer and love love love it. So I didn't hesitate to purchase the hand mixer.

After returning two to Amazon (they are awesome with returns), I purchased another 9speed KitchenAid hand mixer.

Both of the Viking hand mixers had the same exact problem. One of the beaters stops turning after very little use.

Stick with the KitchenAid ... J&S

I ordered this more expensive handmixer due to the impression that it is American Made and all stainless steel (especially the body).

Upon arrival, review of the box stated, "Made in PRC" (People's Republic of China). The housing around the motor unit is silver plastic. Pictures of item very misleading.

It mixes o.k., but I could have purchased a less expensive mixer also "Made in China" and (1/2 the price of this mixer) that would be just as adequate.

Clarification of where product is manufactured needs to be in the description, but if it was then consumers would buy a comparable, less expensive product.

I would not purchase again.

I've always owned a large professional mixer from kitchenaid because I used to make wedding cakes and other extensive desserts as a side living in addition to my career. However for smaller kitchen projects and purposes I really hated dragging out that enormous machine. It was time to get a smaller (though powerful) and more convenient hand mixer. I really like the feature of this machine (the wind up and hideaway cord,the digital power readings, the well made motor, the regal color). My only problem was that the larger beaters were mismatched. In order to fit the machine ,one was supposed to have a collar and one was not. Both larger beaters have a collar and therefore I can't use them, they won't click in.
